FIRST IMPRESSION:CHIO-CHAN'S SCHOOL ROAD

Chio-chan no tsuugakuro or Chio-chan's school road is a comedy , seinen anime from Diaomedéa , it's premise is fairly simple. It's about the events that the protagonist Chio Chan goes through whenever she is going to school. Yeah , I know it's probably a bit too simple but it works pretty well ( at least it did in the first episode ). As the premise suggests , the show is focussed solely on its comedy and it succeeds in that regard. The animations and art style are pretty good , the writing is , well as ridiculous and exaggerated as it's supposed to be in a baseless comedy. At the end of the day it is pretty entertaining but I do understand that this show might not be for everyone so, for anyone who wants a good story and character development it would be better to skip this one. However for anyone who can turn off their brain and enjoy a nice baseless comedy I highly recommend this show.

Yeah , there is not much else to say about this anime so this blog will be a pretty short one but because of that I will be publishing another one today in a few hours so stay tuned for that.

MANGAKA SPOTLIGHT #1: TAISHI TSUTSUI

Today we will be taking a look at all the manga that Taishi Tsutsui has worked on , I will be talking about each one of them and comparing them as to showcase the journey that the mangaka has been through for the past decade. We will be starting with his first ever manga , Esprit. Esprit is a fantasy , action manga from Taishi Tsutsui , it is set in a world where numerous islands are called "homes" and people of a particular home have little to no knowledge about other homes. These homes are discovered and are kept in check by the agents of the "ocean affairs agency" , from here on I will be referring to these agents as OA agents (ocean affairs agents). These OA agents have certain powers called jinxes which stem from a person's faith. For example ,  if I believe with all my heart that I can cause weather changes then I will gain that power or jinx. The story follows an apprentice OA agent Mio and her friends' adventures , as they explore these hom...

ANIME REVIEW: GAKKOU GURASHI

Gakkou Gurashi is a slice of life, horror anime from studio Lerche and is based off of a manga with the same name. It follows four highschool girls Yuki, Miki, Kurumi, and Yuuri who along with their teacher, Sakura, are members of the School Living club which, as the name suggests, is a club whose members live in the school and are not allowed to leave the school grounds. Yuki absolutely loves the school and the club but is unaware of the harsh reality behind its creation. So, slice of life and horror, these are two genres which are pretty difficult to combine and thus tend to result in disappointments but at the same time, if executed well, can make a show highly entertaining. Thankfully in this case the genres are combined pretty well, the plot is unique and no matter how ridiculous it may seem at first glance, it works. The plot develops into a really enjoyable and immersive story, the slick animations and pleasant background score ensure a good time for the viewers. But th...
