WEEKLY ANIME ROUNDUP

Welcome everyone to the weekly anime roundup , here I will be discussing stuff that took place in the anime industry last week. To make it clear , I will not be talking about every little thing that happened but only stuff that I am interested in or I feel you all would be interested in. And I know that I should be doing this roundup at the end of the week on Sunday , but Sunday is my day off and I intend to keep it that way so please bare with me on this. Now that that's out of the way , let's begin.


CHARACTER DESIGNS FOR THE PROMISED NEVERLAND ANIME REVEALED

The character designs for Norman , Don , Gilda and Ray have been revealed by the studio. Rumors say that the character designs are handled by Masayoshi Tanaka , who did the designs for Darling in the franxx. I think the character designs were fine in DITF for the most part so I don't have anything to complain on that front.

I am very excited for this anime as I love the manga and I am looking forward to how well the studio incharge is able to adapt it.


A NEW VISUAL HAS BEEN REVEALED FOR THE BLOOM INTO YOU ANIME ADAPTATION

For anyone unaware , bloom into you is a shoujo ai , romance manga from Nio Nakatani . I absolutely love this manga so I hope that studio Troyc are able to do justice to it. The visual revealed is absolutely beautiful and has certainly increased my excitement for the anime.

For anyone who has not read the manga , I highly recommend it and hope that it gets the recognition it deserves.


NEW VISUAL REVEALED FOR SSSS. GRIDMAN

SSSS. Gridman is an upcoming mecha anime from studio trigger and to be very honest , I don't expect much from it , especially after taking a look at the visual. It just seems to be another basic mecha show and I  don't really care about it. But I still hope that it is able to prove me wrong as recently there haven't been many good mecha anime and I feel that the genre is kind of dying.


20 SEIKI DENKI MOKUROKU ANIME ADAPTATION ANNOUNCED BY KYOANI.

Now , I don't know if there is an English translation for this novel or not , I can't seem to be able to find it and therefore , I have no idea what this novel is about. All I know is that the cover art looks good and I trust KyoAni to deliver . I have also heard from a friend of mine that the novel is good , so yeah I am excited for this anime.


HONJITSU WATASHI WA ENJO SHIMASHITA CANCELLED.

Honjitsu watashi wa enjo shimashita has been cancelled after some old Twitter posts of the author came into light. The posts included the author throwing out some Korean slurs and in light of this the manga has been cancelled. Once again , I have no idea if an English translation of the manga is available or not , but I kinda liked the premise and art style of it , so this was something that I was waiting to get translated sometime in the future but I guess that's not gonna happen.


GOSICK GETS ADDED TO THE CRUNCHYROLL CATALOGUE

Now for some good news , Gosick was recently added to the crunchyroll catalogue . I have mentioned before that in my opinion Gosick is pretty good and now that it's on crunchyroll , I guess it's high time that you think about giving it a watch.


Some other stuff also happened this week , like Eiichiro Oda stating that one piece is 80% completed and the launch of a fairy tail spinoff which is focussed on Happy.

Other than that , I don't really feel the need to mention anything else , there might be something that you feel I did not cover in this blog and if that's the case , let me know about it down in the comments and I will make sure to address it over on twitter. MANGAKA SPOTLIGHT #1: TAISHI TSUTSUI

Today we will be taking a look at all the manga that Taishi Tsutsui has worked on , I will be talking about each one of them and comparing them as to showcase the journey that the mangaka has been through for the past decade. We will be starting with his first ever manga , Esprit. Esprit is a fantasy , action manga from Taishi Tsutsui , it is set in a world where numerous islands are called "homes" and people of a particular home have little to no knowledge about other homes. These homes are discovered and are kept in check by the agents of the "ocean affairs agency" , from here on I will be referring to these agents as OA agents (ocean affairs agents). These OA agents have certain powers called jinxes which stem from a person's faith. For example ,  if I believe with all my heart that I can cause weather changes then I will gain that power or jinx. WEBTOON REVIEW: LET'S PLAY

Let's play is a romance , comedy webtoon from Mongie. It follows Sam , a socially awkward indie game developer. After her first ever game is poorly reviewed by a famous YouTuber , she starts receiving a lot of hate comments from the fans of the YouTuber which throws her life into a disarray. Further complications occur when that very YouTuber moves to her apartment and that too , the room next to hers. First and foremost , the webtoon is really well written. The author herself follows a lot of "let's play YouTubers" , so she knows how tough their job can be and manages to show this aspect really well. At the same time she , being in the creative field , also understands how hate comments can affect a creators life. This allows her to do justice to both sides of the coin and she is able to justify all the actions that each of these characters take.
