WEEKLY ANIME ROUNDUP

Welcome everyone to the weekly anime roundup , here I will be talking about stuff that took place in the anime industry over the past week. I will not be covering every little thing that happened over the week , but things that I feel to be substantial and worth mentioning.

THE NEW CODE GEASS INSTALLMENT IS GOING TO BE A MOVIE INSTEAD OF A FULL SEASON.

The much awaited third season of Code Geass will now be released in the form of a movie in February 2019. As far as I am concerned , I don't really care if the new installment is a movie or a full season. I feel Code Geass deserves to be left alone as it provided a really good , well rounded story and a new installment would only ruin the series. So , to me it does not make a difference if they ruin the series through a movie or a season. Now , by this I don't mean that I want the movie to be bad , I really want it to blow me away , but since the new installment was announced , I can't shake off the feeling that it was just a cash grab. All we can do is wait and see how good or bad the movie will be , fingers crossed , its good.

MAKOTO SHINKAI IS WORKING ON A NEW MOVIE FOR NEXT YEAR.

Makoto Shinkai , (director of Your Name) revealed on his twitter that he is working on a new feature film for 2019. No substantial information has been revealed about the movie, but it's certainly something that I would be keeping an eye out for.

LITTLE WITCH ACADEMIA MANGA ENDS IN AUGUST.

Now , I have never read the manga of Little Witch Academia but I have watched the anime and it was pretty enjoyable. Now that the manga is about to end , I will probably give it a quick read. I did check out the art style of it and it was pretty decent so I am looking forward to give it a read.

FAIRY TAIL IS SET TO RECEIVE AN ACTION RPG ADAPTATION.

For any fans of Fairy Tail , I am so sorry to say this, but I did not enjoy the anime , frankly I don't think that it deserves the amount of love that it gets . But , I am down for an action RPG , I will not allow my hatred for the anime to get in the way of me enjoying a videogame , now if the game turns out to be garbage as well , then I would probably give up on everything related to Fairy Tail. I am just hoping the game to not be just a cash grab , but in all fairness I think that's exactly what it is going to be. The game will be released this fall by Fuji games and considering that it will be a mobile game , the chances of it being good are very sparse.

HULU ADDS AMAGI BRILLIANT PARK TO ITS CATALOGUE.

A few days ago I reviewed Amagi Brilliant Park and I expressed my love for the series , it makes me very happy to see Hulu giving it the recognition that it deserves as I have always felt that it was a bit underappreciated. So , for anyone with a Hulu membership , go ahead and give Amagi Brilliant Park a watch and you will not regret it.

OVERLORD WILL BE RECIVEING A FREE RPG MAKER VIDEOGAME.

Another videogame adaptation , but this time something that I am actually excited to play , the game is already out and can be played on windows , mac or a web browser. The player has the choice of controlling Momon or Narberal as they aim to become adamantite class adventurers. The game was announced on the site of Overlord and is free , so it is not a cash grab and considering that a lot of great RPG maker games have come out recently , I am expecting this game to be good.

MANGAKA SPOTLIGHT #1: TAISHI TSUTSUI

Today we will be taking a look at all the manga that Taishi Tsutsui has worked on , I will be talking about each one of them and comparing them as to showcase the journey that the mangaka has been through for the past decade. We will be starting with his first ever manga , Esprit. Esprit is a fantasy , action manga from Taishi Tsutsui , it is set in a world where numerous islands are called "homes" and people of a particular home have little to no knowledge about other homes. These homes are discovered and are kept in check by the agents of the "ocean affairs agency" , from here on I will be referring to these agents as OA agents (ocean affairs agents). These OA agents have certain powers called jinxes which stem from a person's faith. For example ,  if I believe with all my heart that I can cause weather changes then I will gain that power or jinx. WEBTOON REVIEW: LET'S PLAY

Let's play is a romance , comedy webtoon from Mongie. It follows Sam , a socially awkward indie game developer. After her first ever game is poorly reviewed by a famous YouTuber , she starts receiving a lot of hate comments from the fans of the YouTuber which throws her life into a disarray. Further complications occur when that very YouTuber moves to her apartment and that too , the room next to hers. First and foremost , the webtoon is really well written. The author herself follows a lot of "let's play YouTubers" , so she knows how tough their job can be and manages to show this aspect really well. At the same time she , being in the creative field , also understands how hate comments can affect a creators life. This allows her to do justice to both sides of the coin and she is able to justify all the actions that each of these characters take.
