SUMMER SEASON ANIME

ANIME TO LOOK OUT FOR

1. ATTACK ON TITAN SEASON 3

Attack on Titan season 3 is probably the most anticipated anime this summer. I will not say much about the series as this is the third installment and everyone is already aware of the fact that it is worth watching. So anyone who has not watched the previous two seasons, go ahead give them a watch and get prepared for this season.

2. OVERLORD SEASON 3

After a second season that focussed less on action but more on world building and character development a lot of fans were left wanting more. Now with all that stuff out of the way overlord season 3 is expected to bring back the initial punch that the first season had. Personally I really enjoyed the character development in season 2 but still it never came close to the highly entertaining action sequences and comedy of the first one so I am really excited for the new season.

3. YURAGI-SOU NO YUUNA-SAN

An ecchi, harem anime that might just become a guilty pleasure of mine. The reason why I am looking forward to this anime is because I have not watched an ecchi show in a while and I have a gut feeling ( which is most probably wrong ) that this might just satisfy my ecchi needs. The story is about this homeless guy kogarashi who finds a cheap boarding house that is haunted, now kogarashi must use his spiritual abilities to save the numerous beautiful female tenants of this house from the equally beautiful ghost of the house and he will be allowed to live here for free. Sounds pretty fun doesn't it .

4. JASHIN-CHAN DROPKICK

This is a violent slapstick comedy about a lolita yurine who summons a demon girl jashin-chan. Now they must live together until yurine finds a way to send jashin-chan back or until jashin-chan kills her. This anime has a Lolita , a demon girl , mindless violence and comedy , really what's not to like. To be honest this might not be for everyone but for anyone who can enjoy a show which is not story heavy but illogical and borderline ridiculous in its violence and comedy , this show just might become one of your favourites this season.

5. CHUUKAN KANRIROKU TONEGAWA

A spin-off to the kaiji series , it follows tonegawa who is the right hand man of hyoudou who is the owner of a number of gambling tournaments. As he is getting bored with his life he orders tonegawa to organise a game of death. If you are unfamiliar with the kaiji series , it's a series full of high stakes gambling games in which the MC is thankfully not invincible and can and will lose at various moments. This spin-off seems to have a similar kind of tone but with a fair share of comedy. If you have not yet checked out the original kaiji series I highly recommend you to do so. The only reason why it might put people off a bit is due to its somewhat wonky character designs but overall it's still pretty enjoyable in my opinion.

6. SHICHISEI NO SUBARU

In a globally popular mmorpg "Union" a group of elementary school kids rose to fame as the legendary party " Subaru ". However there was an incident where a girl passed away inside the game due to which union ended service. Six years later Haruto Amou who was a member of Subaru has now become a hopeless highschool student with no ambition whatsoever. He is introduced to a new mmorpg where he ends up meeting his old in game partner Asahi Kuga who supposedly died six years ago. Now, this has a high chance of turning into a generic piece of garbage but I am still willing to give it a chance as, if executed well this story might become enjoyable but it all depends on what new things can it bring to the table as we all have already seen thousands of anime that are  similar in their premise.

7. FLCL  PROGRESSIVE

Now, I know that this is already out but I still wanted to talk about it so bare with me. Flcl progressive is the second installment of the flcl series . To be frank I am not caught up to this season so I don't know much but according to the first episode it might end up following a similar story but with different characters. The area where flcl shines is its unique artistic choices, brilliant soundtrack, amazing voice acting and it's metaphorical story. To be fair this series is not for everyone but I urge all of you to atleast give flcl a try as its uniqueness might just capture you.

8. TENROU : SIRIUS THE JAEGER

Set in 1930 it follows a group of vampire hunters called "jaegers". The show seems to be focussed around Yuliy , a warewolf whose village was destroyed by vampires. He teams up with the jaegers and they engage in a deadly battle with the vampires over the mysterious "arc of sirius". This is an action- thriller anime from P.A Works who for the most part know their shit so I expect it to atleast be decent.

9. ISLAND

The island "Urashima" is far far away from the mainland and the people on this island are bound by a complex past and long established traditions. Forgotten by the mainland the people here are ready to give up all hope . But then a young man Setsuna who calls himself a time traveller washes up on the shore. He lost all his memories except the fact that he must fulfill a certain mission. On the island he meets three girls Rinne, Karen and Sara and together with them he works towards changing the island's future. The plot seems pretty good, the last thing I want is for this to turn into a harem but it seems to be a pure sci-fi drama so I am really looking forward to it. Moreover its from feel who just hit it out of the park with hinamatsuri in the spring season so yeah , island is definitely something that I am very excited about.

Now, there will probably be some anime that will end up being amazing but are not on this list and similarly some anime on here may turn out to be trash. Therefore I will be making separate first impression blogs on almost everything that comes out this summer to let you guys know what all is worth your time.

Thanks everyone for reading and have a nice day.

MANGAKA SPOTLIGHT #1: TAISHI TSUTSUI

Today we will be taking a look at all the manga that Taishi Tsutsui has worked on , I will be talking about each one of them and comparing them as to showcase the journey that the mangaka has been through for the past decade. We will be starting with his first ever manga , Esprit. Esprit is a fantasy , action manga from Taishi Tsutsui , it is set in a world where numerous islands are called "homes" and people of a particular home have little to no knowledge about other homes. These homes are discovered and are kept in check by the agents of the "ocean affairs agency" , from here on I will be referring to these agents as OA agents (ocean affairs agents). These OA agents have certain powers called jinxes which stem from a person's faith. For example ,  if I believe with all my heart that I can cause weather changes then I will gain that power or jinx. The story follows an apprentice OA agent Mio and her friends' adventures , as they explore these hom
