DOUJINSHI CORNER: DEAR MY TEACHER

Welcome everyone to the Doujinshi corner , here I will be talking about any Doujinshi manga that have caught my eye. For anyone unaware , Doujinshi manga are those which are not serialised in any magazines but are individually published by the author.

Today , I will be taking a look at " Dear My Teacher" , a romance , shoujo ai manga written and drawn by Ajiichi. As the name suggests , the manga follows a teacher , Kaoru , and her student , Isechi , who end up falling for each other. So , naturally this relationship is pretty conflicted , after all the two involved are a teacher and  a student. The mangaka does a fine job of showcasing this conflict through the perspective of both the people involved , this conflicted relationship that the manga presents in the first few chapters managed to get me immersed and invested in the story. The art and character designs are also pretty imressive and add to the appeal of the manga. But , this does not mean that it does not have its fair share of flaws. The pacing was a lot quicker than what I would've liked , I feel that with some more refinement of the characters , the manga could have had more emotional impact during the heavy-hearted scenes. Another complain that I have with the manga is that the "conflicted" part of the story was too quickly glossed over. Considering how well it was showcased , if a little more time had been spent on that part , it could have improved the story and made it more enjoyable.

These flaws , although minor , still bring down an otherwise good manga and take away from the good art style and character designs. And by this , I don't mean that the manga is bad , actually it is far from it. It is just that it started off so well that I thought it might become one of my favourite shoujo ai manga but unfortunately that could not happen and I ended up getting disappointed by it.

After reading it , I also checked out a few other illustrations from Ajiichi and I was really impressed by her art. I feel , that with a little more refinement in the story department , she might be able to come out with a banger in the future. If you want to check out more of her illustrations , just click on her name (mentioned above) and you will be redirected to her twitter.

Overall , I would recommend everyone to give the manga a read , as it is just 13 chapters in and there is a lot of room for improvement in the future.

Thank you everyone for reading , subscribe to the blog or follow me on twitter @allaboutanimee for updates on whatever I publish in the future. Share the blog if possible and have a nice day.

Today we will be taking a look at all the manga that Taishi Tsutsui has worked on , I will be talking about each one of them and comparing them as to showcase the journey that the mangaka has been through for the past decade. We will be starting with his first ever manga , Esprit. Esprit is a fantasy , action manga from Taishi Tsutsui , it is set in a world where numerous islands are called "homes" and people of a particular home have little to no knowledge about other homes. These homes are discovered and are kept in check by the agents of the "ocean affairs agency" , from here on I will be referring to these agents as OA agents (ocean affairs agents). These OA agents have certain powers called jinxes which stem from a person's faith. For example ,  if I believe with all my heart that I can cause weather changes then I will gain that power or jinx. The story follows an apprentice OA agent Mio and her friends' adventures , as they explore these hom...
